Got my Akoha beta invite!
I heard that Akoha had recently given a demo to a select few. That happened back on August 29th. I did not expect to get an email from them already about the beta. I’m eager to start!
For those who don’t know, Akoha is an online and offline reputation based game, and you score by giving or sharing or helping. One of the founders tries to explain it in a video.
There’s precious few details about the game. It’s based on a gift economy and there’s online and offline components. You need a mysterious starter kit which they’re giving away and shipping for free for the first few people. Others will be able to buy it at the store.
I just gave them my address to ship me my kit, and thus far I have not signed an NDA, so I’ll be explaining a little bit about how it works assuming there’s no shrinkwrap NDA.
