Quick update links: Facebook Beacon and spectrum auction

Facebook can track users even when they’re logged out, but says they don’t. If you’ve ever received a Beacon ad from a Facebook partner while logged in to Facebook, Facebook can tie your username at the partner’s site to your Facebook page. Also, even if you say ‘No Thanks’ the data is still transmitted to Facebook, but they say that they don’t keep it.

Facebook is changing Beacon privacy settings just like they did with the news feed.
